Congratulations!
You have decided it's time to make a life commitment with your loved one. How exciting, yet daunting. You don't need to stress, this is where Julie can assist you.
Julie helps to remove the unknown.
She knows the legal requirements and the flow of proceedings, she knows what makes a wedding ceremony great and she knows that this is YOUR day.
Julie knows you don’t need to worry about your ceremony because she has it covered!
To assist you with understanding some of the requirements for a wedding ceremony, you do need to know these things:
You can choose any type of ceremony, in any location. Your ceremony should represent your relationship. Julie offers a number of different bespoke ceremonies. All ceremonies are as individual as YOU, written and planned for YOU!
Listed below are an example of some of the types of ceremonies available.
If you can't see something here that fits your vision, that's ok, Julie will work with you to bring YOUR vision to YOUR day.
Your day, Your way!
Perhaps you are planning a destination wedding overseas?
If so, are you aware that you are also required to have a legal ceremony within Australia?
Or maybe you want a short,
simple ceremony.
If so, a Legal Ceremony could be your answer. Julie can assist with this style of ceremony, giving it personal touch too.
You’ve chosen a date and a location for your big day. You may even have decided who will be in your wedding party. Next decision, who will marry you?
Julie!
As an authorised marriage celebrant, Julie's role is to work with you to write a ceremony that suits your needs and ensures all of the legal requirements are met.
To Julie this isn't just another wedding, it's your wedding! Each ceremony she conducts is completely individual, different and accommodated to YOU.
YOUR DAY, YOUR WAY!
Is your dream to escape all the decision making needed for a wedding?
Have you imagined just you and your prospective spouse exchanging vows, in an intimate setting?
Julie can assist you to create the intimate ceremony that you desire.
(two witnesses are still required)
Are you wanting to plan your special day as a surprise for your family and/or friends?
Julie would love to help you!
A surprise wedding ceremony is a great way to celebrate your commitment to one another without your guests knowing until the ceremony begins or after is has taken place.
“Surprise, today we are getting married“ OR “Surprise, we just got married!!”
All proposed marriages are required to give a minimum of one months notice
(prior to the ceremony date).
However, there are certain circumstances where less than a months notice may be permitted.
This is known as a shortening of time.
If you would like to know more,
please get in touch with Julie,
she would very much like to assist you.
Your Pet is a loved member of your family. Perhaps you would like to celebrate a significant event - naming day, birthday, wedding and include your pet in the ceremony!
Sadly, you may have lost your loved Pet and would like to hold a memorial service.
Julie loves animals and understands the special relationship we have with our pets.
If you are planning a celebration of your pet or would like to include your pet in your special day, Julie would love to help you!
Julie is a Funeral Celebrant and a
Funeral Director with
Picaluna Beautiful Funerals.
Just as life offers us times to celebrate,
death gives a time to remember, a time to mourn and a time to celebrate the life lived.
Funerals allow grief to flow, they also provide a time of reflection and celebration to those who remain. Celebration of the life lived, celebration that you were able to share in this life and celebration of the mark the person has left on you.
Memorial services offer a time for reflection and thanks giving and are often held some time after the loss, on an anniversary or special day such as Mother's Day or Father's Day.
Julie is compassionate and empathetic to the needs of those facing these hard times.
She appreciates the sensitivity required and will help make this day run accordingly.
You've celebrated the birth of your child, now it's time to gather family &/or friends to welcome your baby and declare the name of your child and possibly any guardians you wish your child to have.
Or perhaps you have transitioned from one sex to another and are ready to celebrate!
A naming day provides an introduction of yourself with your chosen name,
to the special people in your life.
Whilst these ceremonies are not official,
they provide a wonderful occasion to gather with loved ones to welcome your baby or welcome your new identity.
Julie would love to help you with this special celebration.
A candle lighting ceremony is a great way to symbolically unite families. It demonstrates the joining together,
through marriage, of family members.
Including a type of ritual in your ceremony provides a symbolic gesture of unity.
Perhaps you are re-marrying and want to include children from previous relationships to help them feel that they are part of your commitment.
Maybe you have a certain ritual from your ancestral land that you wish to include in your ceremony.
Or you may want to symbolise the joining together of two families.
Whatever your need is, Julie will add this into your ceremony.
There are many different types of symbolic and ritual ceremonies to choose from, such as handfasting, sand ceremony, candle lighting if Julie isn't familiar with your wishes, she will ensure that she learns all about it, to provide this wonderful addition to your service.
YOUR day, YOUR way!
When making a decision on a Celebrant for your ceremony it helps to meet with them ahead of making a booking.
Julie welcomes this opportunity.
